Malaysia: Hari Hol Pahang

Hari Hol Pahang is a public holiday in the State of Pahang to commemorate the death anniversary of one of its former sultans. Hari Hol means the feast of the soul of the dead.

Hari Hol Pahang is held every year to commemorate Pahang’s fourth sultan, Sultan Abu Bakar Ri’ayatuddin Al-Muadzam Shah ibni Al’Marhum Sultan Abdullah Al-Mutasim Billah Shah, who passed away in 1974.
