Malaysia: Sabah Governor's Birthday

The birthday of the Governor or Tuan Yang Terutama Yang di-Pertua Negeri of Sabah falls on the first Saturday in the month of October. The Governor of Sabah, as in the case of the other three Governors in Malaysia, is appointed by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, after receiving the advice from the Chief Minister. The present Governor of Sabah is Tun Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Juhar Haji Mahiruddin. He is the 10th governor of Sabah and he was appointed on January 1, 2011.
