Lucky 'Seventh' for Kuala Lumpur, 2018

Our capital city, Kuala Lumpur, has earned many accolades but this one is simply stupendous. For the third consecutive year, Kuala Lumpur is ranked the seventh-most visited city in the world by MasterCard’s Global Destination Cities Index. In 2017, Kuala Lumpur received a total of 12.58 million international travellers and this number is expected to grow by another 7.5% this year. Kuala Lumpur is among the top cities in Asia Pacific that has become a must-visit destination for Chinese tourists, who accounted for 16.8% of the arrivals. On a lighter note, ‘seven’ seems to be Kuala Lumpur’s lucky number. Well, seven is a particularly strong symbol. There are seven days in a week and seven colours of the rainbow. In numerology, seven refers to completeness and aspect of things well done. Well done Kuala Lumpur!
