FaveKad congratulates the Municipal Council of Taiping for its accomplishment in winning the 3rd place in the 2019 Sustainable Destinations Top 100 Awards recently. Taiping’s achievement is based on its sustainability and its avoidance of disruptive over-tourism. Taiping, we salute you! A sustainable destination is a destination with a high level of engagement with sustainable development principles. Sustainable development principles can be in various aspects, which include environmental, socio-economic, supply chain and of course, sustainable tourism. The Sustainable Destinations Top 100 award is open to destinations that are not smaller than 50 – 100 sq. km. and not larger than 40,000 sq.km. and comply with the 30 core criteria of Green Destinations Standard
