Federal Territory Day

Also known as 'Hari Wilayah Persekutuan', the Federal Territory Day marks the anniversary of the formation of the Kuala Lumpur Federal Territory in 1974. Kuala Lumpur was previously part of Selangor state, but with the signing of the Federal Territory agreement, the status changed in 1974. This puts Kuala Lumpur in the 13th position with travellers spending a total of US$8.59 billion on lodging, food, recreation and shopping.
