Malay Wedding

The ‘Bersanding’ or ceremonial seating on the dais is the peak of a Malay wedding. The groom and his entourage will walk in a procession to the bride's home, accompanied by the beating of drums, especially the hand-held kompang and bunga manggar. Upon the arrival at the bride's home, the bridal couple are invited for the 'bersanding’ ceremony.
