Nine Emperor Gods' Festival

During the Nine Emperor Gods' Festival, several religious rituals are held for devotees to offer prayers. These rituals include burning of incense paper and joss sticks; chantings and the symbolic “crossing the bridge” to seek good fortune. Chinese operas and other cultural performances are staged at night to liven up the atmosphere.
