Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving falls on the fourth Thursday of November. Thursday has been the day since it was solidified by Abraham Lincoln in his 1863 proclamation, designating Thanksgiving to be the last Thursday of November. Later that was amended to the fourth Thursday in November. Thanksgiving is a national holiday in the United States. Thanksgiving originated as a harvest festival, celebrated by the New England colonists with days of prayer thanking God for blessings such as military victory or the end of the drought. Thanksgiving is historically a Christian holiday and Malaysian Christians celebrate Thanksgiving in late November.
