World Teachers’ Day

World Teachers’ Day is also known as International Teachers’ Day. Established in 1994, it is celebrated annually on October 5. World Teachers’ Day commemorates the signing of the 1966 “Teaching in Freedom”. The celebration aims at appreciating, assessing and improving the educators of the world and providing an opportunity to consider issues related to teachers and teaching.
