International Beaver Day

The International Beaver Day is a day to show appreciation to the cute dam builders as well as the important role they play in the environmental ecosystem. It is also a day to honour Dorothy Richards aka the Beaver Woman who Richards studied beavers at Beaversprite Sanctuary in New York’s Adirondack Mountains for fifty years.
