World Cancer Day

World Cancer Day is an international day to raise awareness of cancer and to encourage cancer prevention, detection and treatment. World Cancer Day takes place every year on February 4 and is the single initiative under which the world can unite to raise the profile of cancer in a positive and inspiring way. World Cancer Day is a chance to reflect on what we can do, make a pledge and take action. In 2018, World Cancer Day took place under the tagline “We can. I can.”, and explored how everyone - as a collective or as individuals - can do their part to reduce the global burden of cancer. In 2019, the theme, ‘I am and I will’ is about personal story and commitment to impact the future. In Malaysia, the National Cancer Society sets out to ensure that no Malaysian fears cancer by creating an understanding of cancer that leads to prevention and early detection through the provision of the best possible care and support for those affected by cancer. Send World Cancer Day FaveKads to your friends who are cancer patients, cancer survivors or cancer caregivers to wish them well.
