Penang : A global street food centre

What is more rewarding than being accredited with being one of the global street food centres by a celebrity chef? Recently, at the Battle of the Chefs 2018 closing ceremony, Martin Yan, a highly respected master chef, food consultant and chef instructor praised Penang cooks for their continuing efforts in preserving the street food cooking style for more than a hundred years. Yan commended the cooks for the street food they prepare and said that one can only do that if they cook with heart and passion. He also said that he totally agrees with Penang being labelled as the street food haven. FaveKad congratulates all the cooks, food preparers and food hawkers in Penang for their commitment and passion in preserving Penang’s street food. You’ve helped to put Penang in the world’s food map. Well done!
